[AITCM 2025 ~ Day 6]

Tbh I don't know why Toriel gets a lot of hate. Sure she was hard on Asgore (though I think that was in the heat of the moment) and left the kingdom, but I understand why, since all the monsters agreed that killing humans was the only way to escape, and she couldn't stand it (hell, she's even shocked for a split-second should you die to her in her boss fight).

Agreed - in my opinion, its a situation where both sides did flawed stuff but have valid grievances.

Wait, I think I have an idea for what this is going for. I wonder if the message is that NiGHTS is trying to gain their own identity by rejecting Wizeman trying to force them to be more feminine (in contrast to the masculine Reala), before finally transitioning into the androgynous individual we know. Then again their gender is up to interpretation anyways. Or maybe I'm reading too hard idk (sorry if this sounded weird)

Funnily enough, in my SEGA AU, NiGHTS does become a Nightopian, albeit with little change to their appearance. They were also granted even more abilities because of Illumina (Sonic Shuffle) because Nightopia migrated to Maginaryworld. Maybe they’ll be able to get Reala to see the errors of their ways as well.

Oh - that's pretty interesting!

I did, soon afterward, make a reference for this AU's Reala. And... yeah, he's not dealing well with, in a nutshell, NiGHTS no longer being connected to Nightmare essence-wise. There is a chance that he'll be able to cope with it and change his ways too, but it won't happen that soon yet.
