I thought of a sequel to this, complete with another letter from NiGHTS. Congrats for inspiring me to make another story based on your art lol

"Dear Reala, my brother and former associate,

"I have gotten accustomed to our new home. Maginaryworld is brewing with new friends and dream creatures I have never seen before. And the sole creator of it - a better leader than Wizeman, I must say - Illumina has offered me a seat in her plans of further constructing her world. Can you believe that? I actually get a say in something for once. Meanwhile all our father has done was made me act as his pawn; sitting around in the castle and isolate me from Nightopia's wonderful sights. Then again, you played a role in it. You were no less of a pawn than I was, but the fact that you didn't step in made me feel resentful for a good long while.

"But do not think of this letter as me telling you how much I despise you. Far from it. I will be honest with you when I say this, Reala: I don't hate you. I never did. Even after all the stuff you put me, my friends, and so many visitors through, at the end of the day, you're still my brother. I may not forgive you for all the things you have done to torment so many, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss you. Sometimes I wonder if you would've loved this place. Illumina says she believes you would, if only you could give it a chance. Jackle has, and so have the other second-levels, so why not you?

"If you can hear me out, just this once, that's all I will wish for. I know you have pled loyalty to Wizeman, but I can tell you this: if you arrive here, there will be no blows or harsh words traded. We can talk this out, we can communicate, we can cry tears we didn't have the chance to shed for so long. I will allow it. I will allow you closure. I will allow you freedom, just this once, if you can hear me.

Weird idea I had while looking at this: the high-ranking Nightmaren believe that when someone in the dream world dies, their soul is transformed into a star in the night sky; the brighter the star is, the stronger the Nightopian/Nightmaren was. However, they believe this depends on how much Ideya the person is question has, otherwise they get sent to "Limbo" (which is basically their belief of what purgatory is). So idk maybe Reala is reconciling with the (presumed) deceased here but that's just based on something I pulled outta my ass. Anyways great art as always lol
