Tbh I don't know why Toriel gets a lot of hate. Sure she was hard on Asgore (though I think that was in the heat of the moment) and left the kingdom, but I understand why, since all the monsters agreed that killing humans was the only way to escape, and she couldn't stand it (hell, she's even shocked for a split-second should you die to her in her boss fight).

Wait, I think I have an idea for what this is going for. I wonder if the message is that NiGHTS is trying to gain their own identity by rejecting Wizeman trying to force them to be more feminine (in contrast to the masculine Reala), before finally transitioning into the androgynous individual we know. Then again their gender is up to interpretation anyways. Or maybe I'm reading too hard idk (sorry if this sounded weird)
